We’ve gotten back from the AWS re:Invent Conference and to say we’re a little excited is an understatement!
The 6th year of re:Invent saw over 40,000 AWS enthusiasts descend on Las Vegas to learn how to make the most of AWS within their businesses, and hear about the latest developments in enterprise Cloud.
Throughout the week were a series of breakout sessions, workshops and bootcamps – covering everything from Machine Learning to Cloud Architecture.
However, the main event was the keynote speeches. And the main theme for the keynotes: How AWS is helping businesses to build not only the architecture they need now, but also into the future.
There were over 25 product and feature announcements in the keynotes alone that demonstrate how AWS are doing this, covering developments in:
These are all enabling businesses to do incredible, amazing (and only a few years ago, seemingly impossible), things with Cloud.
To really evidence this, AWS invited a number of their clients, such as Expedia, Netflix, AGT International & HEED, NFL & Digital Globe to give attendees an insight into what they could be doing with Cloud. These businesses are using Cloud & Machine Learning for so much more than ever imagined – from assisting emergency services dealing with natural disasters to improving end user experiences when watching sport.
If you weren’t able to attend, we recommend watching the keynotes to see the direction in which AWS is moving.
There were also many of other sessions that we recommend watching. One of our favourites is:
AWS have also been adding session coverage to their YouTube Channel.
