Seun Opanubi Delivery Consultant I joined ECS on the 4th of March 2020 when life was ‘normal’. Little did I know of what was just round the corner. I was among the few that were able to experience the Friday lunch provided by ECS, the social events, getting familiar with colleagues on client sites and, importantly, the back massages – scheduled in the office to relief the tension of the weeks and attend to our wellbeing. I don’t believe I need to advise people to come and work for ECS, just hearing me talk about the perks and benefits should be testimony enough! However, there are some other great points. The training to help map your career path, the social events to promote good team spirit and rapport and the wellbeing initiative to remind us to have a good work balance is crucial. If I had to say a few words, I would say discover what your passion is and everything else will flow, it won’t come to you, but you will be able to reach for it.

Renato Marinelli Programme Manager I’ve worked in ICT for around 25 years in various roles and industries, always seeking to develop new skills, knowledge and work with great people! I joined ECS over five years ago, looking for fresh challenges in new industries/business sectors. I have 15 years previous experience in the Energy industry, where I progressed through Architecture roles to Head of ICT. The big attraction of ECS was their reputation, diversity of customers and quality of staff. I love working with such talented, driven and supportive colleagues. We work hard to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients, but always find time to have fun and socialise together. I’ve had the opportunity to develop new skills and stretch myself professionally while supporting others in their career aspirations, which I have found very rewarding. ECS always recognises the great work we do and rewards us for it.

Jillian Ellis Delivery Consultant I joined ECS through the Academy as a Delivery Consultant. I'm currently at Barclays on the Test Automation team. I've only been at ECS a short time, and it's been through a lockdown, but I already have so many happy memories here. If I had to pick a favourite, I'd say it's when our team from the Academy did our final presentation. After an intense two months of workshops and then a month to work on the final project, it was really nice to see it all come together in our final presentation. My advice to anyone looking to join ECS is to take advantage of everything ECS has to offer. You have a catch-up week every three weeks to work on personal development and further your skills – use it wisely! There are also guilds for specific technologies, running clubs, ECS funded social events and so many ways to connect with your co-workers.

Martina Srdoc Agile Coach Hi, my name is Martina. I joined ECS back in 2018 as an Agile Coach. Since then, I have become a Mental Health First Aider and also recently Chair for our Diversity and Inclusion group called iDEA, which stands for Inclusivity and Diversity for Everyone and All. My favourite memories are definitely our social events pre COVID-19 and during COVID-19 times. From dance classes, quizzes to cocktail making nights. They are so much fun and filled with laughter; they bring us closer together. My advice for people thinking of joining the team – ECS is a place full of talented, inspiring and driven people in an environment which lets You be You. So, come and experience it for yourself!

Ayush Gehlot Delivery Consultant I joined ECS in October 2019, through the ECS Training Academy, as a Trainee Delivery Consultant. Since then, I have progressed to the role of Delivery Consultant, having delivered on multiple projects within the financial sector. A memory that stands out in particular is my second engagement. The challenges experienced during it, combined with the way the team worked on all cylinders to ensure we exceeded client expectations was truly amazing to experience. A word of advice for someone looking to join ECS would be, ensure you have the confidence to believe in your own abilities whilst simultaneously being humble enough to ask for help if you require it.

Grace Tree Delivery Consultant I joined ECS in October 2019 through the ECS Training Academy as a Delivery Consultant. If I had to pick one great memory at ECS, it would be being presented the Change Makers Award, an internal ECS recognition award for my technical competency and taking a real interest in learning and improving my testing skills. I had nominated several colleagues for this, but didn’t once expect that I would be awarded it. My most fond memories since joining ECS would hands down be the socials and wellbeing/thank you surprises that arrived at my doorstep. If I was to give someone advice looking to join ECS, I would say be positive and proactive, but above all else, be honest!
